It’s All-Channels Open as 2manydjs Broadcast Live from the Green Room
Call it electro, nu rave, rock, house, punk, funk or metal, those are the noises that will be coming out of the Green Room on Friday January 15th at KL Live on Jalan Sultan Ismail. Because for one night only 2manydjs will be broadcasting live from the heart of the city, transmitting an electric stew of floor-shaking sounds guaranteed to turn the KL Live dance floor into a steaming mosh pit.

For those who haven’t witnessed the controlled chaos of their Part of the Weekend Never Dies documentary, a 2manydjs live show is part DJ set and part full on rock star explosion with brothers Stephen and David Dewaele conducting the crowd through a set of inspired mash-ups, hybrids and bastard pop classics. Their Green Room set sees them turn that energy into a fully-fledged live show based on their classic Radio Soulwax broadcasts, with state of the art custom-visuals blown up on a specially imported LED screen.

Joining them at this cutting edge event, brought to you by Future Sound Asia, will be a who’s who of the Malaysian electro scene with LapSap and Twilight Actiongirl all lending their support and skills to this celebratory night, as well as a special one-off performance from DJ Goldfish as GXXX which will see the chameleon-like producer teaming up with a live drummer to add a full percussive edge to his eclectic mix of driving beats. Not to mention a guest appearance from Indonesian electronic experts Agrikulture.

With their Radio Soulwax broadcasts in Europe, 2manydjs helped to kick-start the trend for mash-ups and bootlegs that has propelled the electro scene ever closer to the mainstream. Their landmark mix CD As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt 2 in 2002 redefined the concept of mix CDs, mashing and overlaying 45 tracks in an hour and spawning the first bootleg hit with a track that seamed together Kylie Minogue’s ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ with New Order’s seminal classic ‘Blue Monday’.
More recently, as Soulwax, the brothers’ 2005 album Nite Versions spawned a two year world tour of arenas and festivals that was captured as the acclaimed documentary and live CD Part of the Weekend Never Dies.

It’s that audio-visual energy that the brothers will channel into their live performance on Friday January 15th at KL Live, filtering live radio broadcasts, multimedia visuals and of course, their trademark sound: dozens of exclusive mixes and tracks that you can only hear on Radio Soulwax with 2manydjs live.
